MEN DON’T FAIL! THEY GIVE UP TRYING!

In 1942, there were three men who had spent three months looking (prospecting) for diamonds in the Venezuelan water coast. One of them named Solanno Refael, woke up one morning feeling discouraged and physically exhausted. He then announced to his two other friends: “I am through. There is no use going on any longer. I have picked up 999, 999 stones (pebbles) so far and there is no trace of a diamond! If I pick up another, it will be a million, so what’s the use! I am quitting.”  Almost immediately, one of the two other men screamed back at Solano: “PICK UP ANOTHER AND MAKE IT A MILLION.”

“All right,” said Solano and stopped, put his hands on a pile of grizzy stones and pulled out one! “Here it is,” he said, “The last one!” But it was unusual, almost the size of an egg and was heavier than the remaining 999, 999, stones! He beckoned, looked closer and screamed: “Boys, it’s diamond.” Harry Wilson, a New York Jewel dealer paid Solano $200,000 for that millionth pebble. Named, “The Liberator,” it was the largest and purest diamond ever found! WHAT IF MR. SOLANO HAD GIVEN UP BECAUSE OF DELAY AND FRUSTRATION? The year is young! Never give up on God because of past delays or unfulfilled dreams. Don’t allow your history (your yesterday) to kill your destiny (your tremendous future).

MEN FAIL BECAUSE THEY GIVE UP TOO EARLY! Look at that problem again as if it is the first time you are praying about it. MOST PEOPLE STOP TRYING TIMES. BE DIFFERENT! Go another day, week and year! Give and forgive again! Trust and love again! It’s never too late to be what you might have been! Mary Crowley said, “you may give out, but never give up.” Elbert Hubbard said “There is no failure, except in no longer trying.” Remember that all great and past people who affected their generations were men who suffered delays and past defeat! Ask Nelson Mandela! Ask Abraham Lincoln! Ask Christopher Columbus! Remember. MEN DON’T FAIL! THEY GIVE UP TRYING TOO SOON! Don’t retire now! Refire now!
